Good drills are important, because they help golfers of all ability levels improve their games. In this article, I am going to share with you 4 golf swing driving range drills that I have used myself to improve my game and start shooting lower scores on a consistent basis.
1. The first drill I use is simple, and involves putting a quarter about a quarter of an inch behind the golf ball. After I put the quarter down, I take out my 7 iron and practice hitting shots without moving the quarter. If I can do this, it means that I am hitting the ball first, which means solid and consistent golf shots.

2. Another one of my driving range drills that I use on a consistent basis involves a piece of plywood. You do not need a big piece, just one that measures around 1 foot x 1 foot. What you do is set a golf ball on top of this, and try to hit wedge shots. The point of this is learning to pick the ball clean, so you can hit high spin wedge shots that stop quickly on the greens. If you don't pick it you will know it, because it stings a little bit!
3. Another drill I use involves a spare golf shaft. I stick it in the ground slightly to the back of my back foot. What this does is keep me from swinging the club too far to the inside, which is a major swing flaw. If I can swing back and not hit the shaft, then I know that I am practicing a proper takeaway.
4. The fourth and final one is really simple, but involves a friend. It is the classic hand on the head drill, and is designed to keep your head down through impact. Have someone stand opposite you, and reach their arm out to put their palm on top of your head. As you swing, do not lift your head. Your head can have a little lateral motion, but you should not lift it in the golf swing.
These are 4 driving range drills that you should try, because I am sure they will help your game.
