Here are some chipping drills you can use to make practising more enjoyable and productive.
#1 Landing spot
1 4 Drill
In this drill you choose a spot on the ground where you want the ball to land. Then you take different clubs and hit ball from different positions and try to get the balls to land there. You can put something like a tower to that spot to help you make that target concrete yo you.
#2 Distance control
Put 4 or 5 clubs from your hitting spot so that the are around 1 foot apart from each other so that you have one club 3 feet from you and one 4 feet from etc. Try to hit balls between the gaps created to that you hit them randomly between different gaps. Then you can change your hitting spot and try to hit the gaps from there.
#3 Direction drill
If you have trouble getting your balls to fly to the right direction here is the drill to use. Put some tees all around your hitting spot and start hitting ball towards different tees. Focus here on getting the right direction.
#4 Different shot types
This is more of an advanced drill that you can dry. Pick a spot and lay down some balls. Choose your target hole and few different clubs. Start with for example your sand wedge and try to hit one ball high to the pin, second ball medium height and third ball low to the pin. After those shots change the club and start over with. This drills allows you to change your flight paths of your clubs that could come handy on the course.
